His & Hers by Alice Feeney
4⭐️/5
This one is best if you go in blind! Thus, the mini review!
👉But swipe if you want the basic synopsis!
Five stars for the second half for sure!! Like any good thriller, once it picks up, you need to cancel all plans, *especially* when Alice Feeney is in charge. However, the first half failed to reel me in. It distinctly lacked the intrigue or pace of a normal thriller (and felt a bit bogged down with tropes?), so I’d give 3.5-4 stars for the first half.
All that said, it was still a wild ride. Dual perspectives? Ominous, italicized chapters from the Killer’s POV? Flashbacks? Guessing who’s guilty at every turn? Trusting no one and suspecting everyone? Creepy moments that read like a movie scene? This book has it ALL.
