What Book Do You Always Recommend People Read?
“What’s a book you ALWAYS recommend to people?”
✦I asked this question back in December and got some brilliant responses (thank you to everyone who contributed!)
✦I think this question is so wonderful and varied because a book you recommend might not always be your *favorite* book (or it might!)
✦Of course, a recommendation like this depends on the reader (Do they read often? New to reading? Hate reading? Only like audiobooks?) or the genre they’re interested in (maybe they only like obscure Swedish translations?), or even how well you know them (is this your mom? Or the coworker you like but have only seen their zoom background?).
✦However, I always keep a few in my back pocket that I like to think are winners.
A few more of mine that aren’t pictured (because I don’t own them):
✦The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
✦Beneath a Scarlett Sky - Mark T. Sullivan
✦Big Little Lies - Liane Moriarty
✦Born a Crime - Trevor Noah
✦Are there any more you’d add to this list? What’s missing?
